If you just realized the wedding is fast approaching (or, it’s literally tonight) and you haven’t written your toast, don’t panic. You won’t need a week of agonizing writer’s block to deliver something unforgettable. You’ll just need 30 minutes, a pen, and a good structure.
Here is the ultimate, stress-free formula to write a meaningful Maid of Honor speech in less time than it takes to stream an episode of your favorite show.
Step 1: Brainstorm Ideas
Set a timer for five minutes. On a blank sheet of paper, jot down the first words, memories, or inside jokes that come to mind when you think of the bride.
This is a short list of ideas to consider:
- How did you first meet?
- What is a hilarious (but reception-appropriate) memory you share
- How did she change when she met her partner?
